The Atlanta Falcons currently sit at 2-6 and if the season were to end today, the Falcons would be sitting with the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL draft. After the firing of Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff, the message was clear that there will be a new regime making all of the decisions for this team going forward.
If the Falcons continue on the pace they are on, there is a possibility that they may end up in a spot where they might not be able to fill a need.
Jon Chuckery believes that the Falcons might need to win some more games down the road to be in a better position to get their guy.
"Being in that 10-15 range might not be that bad after all," Chuckery said. Most teams that fall in the top 5 in the NFL draft mostly have quarterback as a need.
The majority of the people that follow this team know that Matt Ryan will be the quarterback next year. So whoever is the head coach of this team next year might not be that upset if the Falcons don't end up with the No. 1 overall pick.
