Atlanta Falcons Kicker Younghoe Koo has the worst season of his career in 2024, and while it could have been injury-related or simply a decline in performance, many expect a competition to be held in training camp with newly-added Lenny Krieg, but also potentially with other. 92.9 the Game Falcons Reporter Joe Patrick agrees there will be a competition for kicker, but also expects some other training camp battles.
"That (the kicker) will definitely be a competition, but I think the secondary there's going to be guys absolutely competing for roles and spots on the 53-man roster," says Joe Patrick. "I think you have a level of competition this year that's going to be able to put layers to the test and that ultimately gets the best out of everybody."
The Falcons added both Xavier Watts and Billy Bowman Jr. in the NFL Draft, along with Cobee Bryant as an undrafted free agent, to a group of secondary options that already features quite a few former first round picks.
