Klint Kubiak better fit to be Falcons Head Coach than John Harbaugh

With John Harbaugh now being the hottest head coaching candidate in this cycle it’s no surprise many media members and Atlanta Falcons fans want to see Harbaugh be the next Falcons Head Coach.

The Super Bowl winning coach wouldn’t be a bad option for Atlanta by any stretch of the imagination, but earlier today The Morning Shift explained why they think Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Klint Kubiak would be a better fit as the Falcons next head coach than Harbaugh would.

“I want someone to come in fresh. Everything [Klint] Kubiak does offensively is exactly how you’re already built, so you’re not trying to marry what Todd Monken wants to do with what we have here.” Beau Morgan said

Beau finished his thought by saying “You have reset your franchise, completely, with what you’ve done, and you have a chance to go hire some people that could be here for the next 10 to 15 years if you get it right, and I think a young offensive coach that could have their system throughout would really help this team.”

If the Falcons do bring in Harbaugh to be their next Head Coach and he has success, there’s a good chance whoever his coordinators are could be gone sooner rather than later, and Harbaugh and the Falcons could potentially find themselves in a Dan Campbell type of situation where the team takes a step back because they had to replace both coordinators in one off-season.

On the other hand, Klint Kubiak would come in and more than likely be the Head Coach and playcaller, and provide stability at least on the offensive side of the ball for the Falcons. Now, that may not matter to whoever will be in charge of making this decision for Atlanta but it’s definitely something to think about when contemplating what’s best for the long term future of the Falcons.
