While there has been a good amount of excitement building towards the Atlanta Falcons' upcoming season, questions regarding Kyle Pitts and whether or not he can produce anywhere close to the level of his rookie season continue to swirl, however on Thursday, the fifth year tight end told 92-9 The Games Carl Dukes and Mike Bell, his only concern is what his teammates have to say.

"It's great to hear that from him and just have the people around you confident in you," Pitts said as he shared thoughts on Michael Penix Jr.'s comments about getting him the ball following the team's first practice last week.

"Just trying to be the best asset for this offense in general, just going out there playing for us, being the best thing for Mike when I need to be and just competitive excellence," Pitts continued as he explained expectations of himself in his second season in offensive coordinator, Zac Robinson's system.

And when it comes to the criticism he has received the past two seasons, Pitts acknowledge he understands it comes with the territory of being an NFL player. "That's what their job is todo, criticize when you're bad and praise you when you're good," Pitts said however adding he is not concerned about what is said.
