Kyle Pitts has been a hot topic of conversation since he arrived in Atlanta in 2021. He was picked fourth overall and was supposed to be the unicorn hybrid tight end/receiver that would change the Falcons' offense. He has not lived up to those lofty standards during his three-plus seasons in Atlanta. Mike Bell is ready to declare Pitts a bust.
Pitts has just six receptions in the team's last four games and has seemingly disappeared in the offense. His season started out with some promise as he has 35 receptions for 494 yards and three touchdowns. But his production has slipped to the point where he has become an afterthought in the offense.
The Falcons will need Pitts to show some promise to end the season as he had his fifth-year option picked up in the offseason. If he wants to spend the entirety of his career in Atlanta his production will need to drastically improve.
