Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore suffered an apparent non-contact leg injury and was carted off the field during the team's joint practice in Miami. Moore was then transferred to a nearby hospital and practice was called roughly 30 minutes early as the teams gathered around him in support. The team confirmed Thursday he will miss the 2024 season with a knee injury and will be placed on the reserve/injured list.
Moore was brought in from Arizona in a trade for quarterback Desmond Ridder this offseason. He was listed behind Darnell Mooney on the depth chart earlier this week by the team heading into their preseason game vs the Dolphins Friday.
The 24-year-old has averaged roughly 400 yards and a touchdown per season since joining the Cardinals in 2021. Rookie Casey Washington and veteran James Washington could see increased playing time as a result of the injury.
