The Falcons Week 13 loss dropped them to 4-8 on the season and they were swept by the Saints this year as they fell 21 to 16 to their arch rival. The guys on Dukes & Bell discussed where the team is and are we at this point due to coaching or are the players to blame?
Carl said he thinks the team is good enough to win, but coaching decisions have held the team back.
“Because of the coaching hires and the head coaches' decisions are the reasons we were 1-4, 1-7, and 0-5 the last three years. I’m just going to stay in that realm,” Dukes said. “The coaching hires, mistakes, the way the head coach went about trying to do everything one year, mistake. And then this year when we blew games and how those games were handled, mistakes. I just don’t believe that everything on this team is bad and that it can’t work.
“How can the defense hold the Saints to 21 points, one touchdown in the second half and we can’t do jack on the offense? That’s the part that you just don’t get. This has been a consistent problem and I don’t know why. But what I do know is it’s not working.”
