Atlanta Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter joined Dukes & Bell to talk about Takk McKinley’s recent tweets, and what’s the next move for the team with McKinley.

D Led talked about McKinley’s time here in Atlanta.

“They’re gonna do what’s best for the franchise, there’s no sense in having him around, he’d be a cancer in the locker room,” Ledbetter said. “If they have to hold on to him to preserve getting a compensatory pick in the future, I’d understand that. I don’t think you can cut him outright right now while he’s injured. Perhaps you could reach an injury settlement, but his days are down to minutes, maybe hours with the franchise moving forward.

“They thought they could reach him, go to planet Takk and live there but the coaches weren’t able to get thru to this kid and now we see him melting down on social media in an immature fashion. You were hoping for the best and you didn’t get it.”
