We all know by now that the initial NFL schedule release features 0 primetime games for the Falcons. They could be flexed into primetime later in the season, but first glance shows that the league does not believe Atlanta will be one of the more dominant or popular teams to watch. In order to buck that trend, new starting quarterback Desmond Ridder will have to become one of the main reasons why.
“We’ll go as far as Desmond Ridder goes. And if not, it’s going to be Taylor Heinicke,” Mike Bell explained.
Ridder, an unknown outside of four starts last season, will have pressure on him to lead a revamped offense featuring first round draft pick Bijan Robinson and the return of a healthy Kyle Pitts.
