The Voice of the Atlanta Falcons, Wes Durham, joined The Midday Show with Andy and Randy to preview the season that begins in fewer than two weeks on September 13.

Which unfamiliar player does Wes believe will contribute more this season than we may think?

"Darqueze Dennard fascinates me defensively," Wes said. "I think he's the kind of guy that can come in and help them in a couple different areas.

"Dennard is a guy who, you know, I just envision lining up a lot of different places. I don't think we can really give away just how valuable he might be."

The Falcons signed Dennard to a one-year contract back in August. The former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick allowed just 16 completions on 36 targets in 2019, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

Offensively, Wes believes Hayden Hurst will have more success here than with his previous team the Baltimore Ravens.

"I just think once Joe Flacco was gone in Baltimore, Hayden Hurst was not as valuable a piece to what the Ravens ultimately were going to be."

The Falcons made a trade with the Ravens, sending both a second and fifth-round pick to Baltimore in exchange for Hurst and a fourth-round pick. Hurst was selected by the Ravens 25th-overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
