With their eighth consecutive season of missing out on the NFL playoffs now official, the Atlanta Falcons will eventually begin to turn their attention to the 2026 season and as of now, it appears head coach, Raheem Morris will return for a third season, despite there being some who believe Morris’ time in Atlanta will come to an end at the conclusion of the season.

On Thursday, 92-9 The Game’s Mike Bell and Abe Gordon shared their thoughts on what the future of Morris may be, noting that while the team has lost seven of their last eight games, Morris appears to have no concern about his future status with the franchise.

“There is no one if I owned this team that the general manager or the coach could salvage their jobs,” Bell said as he explained why he believes the Falcons should move on from Morris and GM, Terry Fontenot, regardless of how well the team plays in their final four games of the season.

“I think a decision has been made one way or another and I think that’s where the calmness comes from,” Gordon said of why he believes Morris appears more relaxed in regards to his role with Atlanta despite the state of the team. “Either he knows he’s coming back and is coaching with that mentality or he already knows it’s done and I tend to lean in that manner” Gordon said.
