With the NFL trade deadline coming up after week eight of the 2024 season, there has been a lot of moves made by teams already. While most of the moves made involve the wide receiver position, there are other positions, pass rush for example, that may be made available by scuffling teams. But will the Falcons make a move?

We don’t know for sure if the Las Vegas Raiders are seriously shopping Maxx Crosby, but rumor has it that there have been multiple inquiries. Adding a player the caliber of Maxx Crosby would be HUGE for the Falcons, but what would be the asking price? It is widely speculated that the Falcons would have to give up 2024 first round draft pick Michael Penix. To me, that would be a bargain. Most that were upset at the Michael Penix selection when they made it said that their desire landed with the Falcons taking a pass rusher, myself included. Well, through the first seven weeks of the season, Jared Verse has one sack, Dallas Turner has one sack, and Laiatu Latu has two sacks, all while Maxx Crosby has six and a half. That math tells me that giving up Penix would be a bargain. Andy Bunker and Abe Gordon speak with Falcons’ color analyst Dave Archer about the Falcons at the deadline, as well as possibly getting some much needed pass rush help back from injury ahead of their week eight matchup against the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
