Will the Falcons be forced into drafting a quarterback in draft?

With the trade of Matt Ryan the Falcons are now in search of a franchise quarterback for the first time since the 2008 offseason. Dukes & Bell talked about if the team will be forced to draft a quarterback this April in the NFL Draft.

Carl talked about Fontenot’s comments today on the draft.

“I did like what Terry Fontenot said today, he said they will not be forced into taking a quarterback, meaning just because you or I might think it’s our number one need, and I do not think that by the way but if you think it is. They’re not gonna be forced just because the Falcons pick eighth and they need a quarterback, they better go get one,” Dukes said.

Dukes said the Falcons can’t pick a quarterback unless they believe in him.

“You cannot buy into that if you don’t believe that’s the right guy for you, if you don’t buy into any of these guys you just don’t go pick them. That’s like you going to shop for groceries and just picking everything in the store knowing you need one thing, go get the one thing you need. Don’t just go up and down every aisle and say yea I’m throwing all this stuff in the basket, you get out of there and go yea I spent way too much money and guess what? It’s all for nothing.”
