On Monday Andy & Randy talked about whether or not the Atlanta Falcons would still have Marcus Mariota as the quarterback instead of Desmond Ridder if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 on Monday Night Football. If the Saints had held on and won that game against the Buccaneers, every team in the NFC South would currently be tied at 5-8.

“I think that Arthur Smith knew this time (starting Desmond Ridder) was eventually coming and right now they are actually still in the mix…I just think it was a matter of time that this had to go, you got to see what you got at that position (quarterback),” Randy said..

“It’s a four game snap shot to try to evaluate what Desmond Ridder is going into the off-season and going into next year. Best case scenario for me is obviously he plays well but if he plays decently…they have been in all their games already, maybe he doesn’t make a mistake, there is no reason you can’t go on the road and beat New Orleans,” Andy replied.

The Falcons travel to take on the Saints in New Orleans this Sunday December 18th @ 1pm and the Saints are currently 4 point favorites in this big NFC South rivalry.
