While Atlanta Falcons fans have been begging for Zac Robinson and the Falcons’ offense to show some creativity earlier today former Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons quarterback and now Sports Director at FOX5 Atlanta DJ Shockley explained to The Morning Shift why he believes Atlanta’s Offensive Coordinator simplifying the offense for his young quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will actually help the Falcons’ get out of their offensive funk.

“I think it just comes down to making things easier for your quarterback. You gotta find ways to simplify it whether you think he’s the elite processor that you know he is, but there’s still things that happen in ball games where you have to slow it down for him. Even if you feel he’s at a position where he can handle everything with this offense, but when things aren’t going your way I think you have to simplify it.” Shockley said

When Zac Robinson spoke to the media yesterday he also mentioned that simplifying the offense is something they’ve been thinking about recently as a way to get Penix playing well again, and a way to get their offense going again, so maybe before Falcons fans call for Robinson’s job they should give him, Raheem Morris, and this Falcons’ offense a chance to turn things around.
