The Atlanta Hawks are on a two-game losing streak and there was some chatter that they may make a move to try to get back on track at the trade deadline.

The main name that was being thrown around was John Collins, but there were reports before the deadline that the Hawks weren't going to make any major moves.  With the added playoff spots, there were more teams trying to position themselves to make a run in the postseason.

The Hawks were able to trade for Lou Williams, who could be a nice spark offensively coming off the bench. Jon Chuckery thinks that there is one team in the East that may have surpassed the Hawks based off the moves they made at the deadline. “I think that you can say that, that Miami, at least on paper, has moved ahead of the Hawks,” Chuckery said.

There are rumors that the Miami Heat have their eyes on Lamarcus Aldridge because he just took a buyout from the San Antonio Spurs. The Heat currently sit at 22-22, same record as the Hawks in the Eastern Conference. With the East being so volatile, these could be the moves that put a team over the top. Let’s just hope that the Hawks did enough meet their goal, which was to get to the playoffs, when the dust settles.
