ESPN recently conducted an NBA Mock Draft with their NBA analysts, and with the 17th overall pick, the Hawks selected LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. Bronny was a McDonald’s All-American and has committed to play basketball for USC. LeBron James took a moment to have some fun with this mock draft via Instagram Stories, responding with, “Wellllll ATL Shawty the #JamesGang will be pulling up.” But there is more, Trae Young, responded to LeBron James on Twitter with, “Talk Soon.”
There is a lot that would have to happen for all parties involved in order for this to come to fruition. Bronny has shown huge strides in his game every year, and his brand has grown right with it. Bronny has showcased why he is an NBA talent, he displays elite guard play, great on the defensive end, a refined jumpshot, and tremendous athleticism. LeBron has expressed multiple times what his end goal is, to ultimately play with his son Bronny before he retires.
Whether it is a mock draft or not, the city of Atlanta should smile. The Hawks have recently cleared up cap space, wil be having a very aggressive off-season, and have their superstar in Trae Young, is fully invested. Next year, Jaylen Brown is a free agent, where rumors have indicated Atlanta could be on the top of his list as a team to play for. Jaylen Brown, a possible Bronny draft pick, and a ready to play LeBron James could be the future for the Hawks!
