John Collins succeeding because he can just play ball now

The Atlanta Hawks have gotten off to a nice start for the 2021-2022 season. The Hawks spent the offseason getting their core players under contract long term. Trae Young signed a five-year extension worth up to $207 million back in August.

Kevin Huerter signed a four-year deal worth $65 million, and they also gave a fair deal to John Collins at five-years and $125 million. Out of those three, Collins had to be the one that, if you follow this team, could potentially have been wearing another team's jersey when the season started.
