The Atlanta Hawks lost to the Bulls last night on a buzzer-beating put back after John Collins fumbled a rebound and once again the question has come up, what is wrong with the Atlanta Hawks.
With the front office changes that took place on Tuesday, you have to wonder what the first big move will be, and Hawks Reporter and Nothin' But Nest Podcast Host Caleb Johnson thinks the move will be to the roster and not the coaching staff.
"Nate McMillan's not going anywhere. What is the alternative if McMillan goes in the middle of the season? One of his assistants? There is not the same level of a guy who's been a head coach like there was when Lloyd Pierce was coaching," explains Caleb Johnson. "Would they look at something in the offseason, I don't know. There's a lot of basketball to be played. Nate's not going anywhere and I don't think he should. Nate McMillan's being self-aware and I think he can get his message across and relate to this team."
Johnson however wasn't as convinced that John Collins will finish out the year in Atlanta.
"This is a situation where it feels like you're looking at what trade assets the Hawks have and I love Collins as a person and they way he's clear about his message and doesn't shy away from anything, but if I were to see that name involved in a trade for the Hawks I would not be surprised at all."
