Even though it was very unlikely going into the final day of the NBA regular season yesterday the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks are facing off again in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why they think the Hawks were lucky to fall to the six seed and matchup with the Knicks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

“I think it’s a better matchup. I don’t think [Evan] Mobley and [Jarrett] Allen are a good matchup for you inside. I think it causes problems for you, and so therefore I think New York provides a better matchup. I’m not saying you’re going to win it either, that's not what I’m saying I just like the matchup better for the Hawks.” Beau Morgan said

These two teams look significantly different from when they last faced off in the postseason back in the first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs, but you have to think both teams and all the players remember what happened, and that should give this what already promises to be a competitive first round matchup even more edge and intensity.
