Free agency has gotten underway and the Atlanta Hawks are in the process of trying to construct a roster that will help them make another run in the playoffs. One player that helped them make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals is John Collins.
Collins is a restricted free agent and currently has an offer on the table. According to The Athletic, the Hawks offered Collins a five year, 125-million-dollar deal, and he has yet to sign it.
Jon Chuckery believes with the money that's on the table, Collins should be getting ready to sign. "If you believe the story of what the Hawks have on the table, it's the largest compensation package any player has been offered in free agency" Chuckery said. Collins not immediately signing that deal should raise some eyebrows.
Before the season, the Hawks offered Collins a four-year deal reportedly worth 90 million dollars. The Hawks shown that they want to keep Collins around. Now Collins has to figure out whether or not he wants to be kept.
