The latest trade rumors surrounding the Atlanta Hawks came to light Tuesday when a report by The Athletic stated the Los Angeles Lakers are looking into what it would cost to make a move for Trae Young. Dukes & Bell say it makes zero sense for the Hawks to engage in a trade involving Young based on their decision to hire Quin Snyder as their new Head Coach with twenty games left in the regular season.

“We’ve seen this before. But I want you guys to understand this, they are both Klutch Sports clients, it happens all the time” Carl Dukes explained in reference to Trae Young and Kyrie Irving sitting courtside at the Lakers Western Conference Finals game last night.

“Why would you even attempt to Trade Trae at this point if you believe, which I do, that Quin Snyder and Trae have connected. We talked to Trae, his dad, and they both said Quin Snyder is the best coach he’s had here. So with that said, even if the Lakers are talking internally, I’m not hearing that they’ve called the Hawks,” Dukes added.

Young remains the centerpiece of the Hawks franchise and is reportedly fond of Snyder and his vision for the team’s future. The Lakers currently do not have the pieces in place to make a deal, a third team would need to be involved to make salaries and equal compensation match.
