With the NBA All-Stat break in the rearview window, the Atlanta Hawks resumed action last week and have won two of there three games since returning to the hardwood and currently find themselves placed ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, a half-game ahead of the Charlotte Hornets.
“The whole group has an expectation to make that happen,” Hawks’ center Jock Landale said as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and explained the mindset of Hawks’ players as they approach their final 23 games of the regular season.
“We believe we’re in the position to do so., there’s a lot of games left,” Landale continued as he explained the team is still working towards continuity with several new players being added to the roster prior to the trade deadline, including Landale himself.
“We’ve basically have a new roster with seven new players so we’re in a massive figuring it out process but every time we talk about what we’re trying to figure out it’s with the intent of making the playoffs and building towards that,” Landale said.
