Hawks on cusp of getting key players back from injury

The Hawks have been bit by the injury bug multiple times this season, but for the first time all year the team is turning the corner and preparing to get multiple guys back healthy.

For some (Kris Dunn) it will be a season debut, for others (De'Andre Hunter) it will be the continuance of a breakout season, and for one (John Collins) it will be the chance to leave a lasting impression in a contract year.

Atlanta Hawks General Manager Travis Schlenk joined John and Hugh and provided some updates for a few of the guys who have been inactive recently.

On De'Andre Hunter:
"Coming off his procedure he had a little swelling from the last road-trip, so we just wanted to get that last bit of swelling out of his knee. The good news is he doesn't have any pain, the injury is fine, it's just that swelling inside the joint."

On John Collins:
The sprained ankle is still a little puffy, but he did a little spot shooting, nothing serious about it, your standard run-of-the-mill sprained ankle that is going to take a little time, but he's coming along nicely."

On Kris Dunn:
"He played for the first time yesterday full-court basketball, so we're hoping to get him a couple more scrimmages in, those are the last few things he needs to cross off. We'll see how he feels today, a little tired, but the injury after playing felt good, so he's making good progress."
