The Atlanta Hawks selected LSU shooting guard Skylar Mays with the 50th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Mays spent all four years in college with the Tigers and averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in his career.
As a senior, Mays averaged 16.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game on 49 percent shooting to be named first team All-SEC.
Mays was the best friend of his teammate, Wayde Sims, who was tragically shot and killed in 2018 and Mays has said the loss has helped him focus more on his career and dedicate it to Sims.
