The Atlanta Hawks suffered a blowout loss in Game 1 to the Boston Celtics, 112-99. The Hawks shot 17.2 percent from behind the 3-point line, going 5 for 29. The Celtics were led by their two stars, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Tatum finished the game with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Brown finished with an impressive 29 points and 12 rebounds.
This led Hawks fans to ask, can the Hawks bounce back in Game 2 or is it possible the series may already be over? Terrell Thomas from These Urban Times, joined Sam and Greg on Sunday. He believes just shooting the ball well can make the world of a difference for the Hawks.
“I believe our Hawks are at their best when they are able to be effective from behind the 3-point line," said Thomas. "It just opens up so many other things.”
Hawks star, Trae Young, tallied 16 points and eight assists, followed by Dejounte Murray’s 24 points and six assists. Young averaged a double-double this season, 26.2 points per game and 10.2 Assists. We can expect a massive Game 2 for the Hawks and Young.
On average, the Hawks shot 35.2 percent from behind 3 this season. Can they bounce back in game 2? We will find out Tuesday, April 18 in Boston.
