Despite missing Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, and Dyson Daniels Monday night in an eight-point loss to the Timberwolves, Hawks reserve Bogdan Bogdanovic, who was reportedly healthy enough to play, was benched and given the designation of Did Not Play-Coaches Decision. With the NBA Trade Deadline rapidly approaching, could he be up for grabs and could that be the Hawks future plans?
Bogdanovic did miss five games earlier this season with a lower leg contusion, but appeared healthy leading up to Monday and did not appear on the injury report. He's fighting through the worst shooting season of his career, shooting below 40 percent from the field for the first time since entering the league and a career low 30 percent from three.
While Bogdanovic's value might not be now what it was after his successful Olympic run, the Hawks could likely still get some much-needed draft picks if they do decide to move him or even make him part of a larger deal.
