The Hawks lost Monday night to the Lakers after entering the fourth quarter with a 1-point lead, this coming a few days after losing to the Brooklyn Nets in overtime.

The big difference between winning those games and losing those games has undoubtedly been fourth-quarter (and overtime) execution.

The Lakers relied on LeBron James and Anthony Davis down the stretch, while the Nets used their trio of Harden-Durant-Kyrie to finish strong.

Trae Young is asked to do a lot offensively for the Hawks, but right now he's still growing and learning to be the closer that the true superstars in the league are. He's good, but he's not there yet.

Atlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk discussed the end of the game, how it's not all on Trae, and why it's so important to have those big closers in key moments.

"When you get down to close games the big thing is to continue to work on execution," says Schlenk. "When you get down late all five guys have to know what you're trying to accomplish on each possession and get the show we're looking for and the same thing defensively."
