The 2024-2025 season for the Atlanta Hawks is officially underway! The Hawks took down the Indiana Pacers 131-130 in preseason game one, and they looked pretty good doing it. Aside from playing very little defense, which has become commonplace in the modern NBA, the team played really well together in the buzzer-beater win.
Six different Hawks scored in double-digits, and the team shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc. One player that played well in particular, is 2024 first overall draft pick Zaccharie Risacher. Risacher, off the bench, scored 18 points, good for second best on the team, and made three of four three pointers. While Zaccharie Risacher is not technically listed as a starter for the 2024-25 team, he is definitely well on his way if he continues to produce like this. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael discuss Risacher as well as the other early contributors to the newly found Hawks success.
