Trae Young is shooting less; here's why that's the key to Hawks' winning streak

The Hawks are now on a four-game winning streak after beating the Mavericks on the road Wednesday night. Dukes & Bell talked about what they think has been the difference during the winning streak.

“Here’s what I think the difference is, at least over this four-game stretch," Dukes said. "Trae’s scoring is down but you’re winning and you’re going, 'Wait, how are we winning if he’s going from 27 to 24 a game.' Well, his steal numbers are up so the defense is better, and assists are up.”

Dukes continued about Dejounte Murray’s play during the four-game stretch.

“For DJ his total point production is up, he’s a 20-point-a-night guy, he’s 20 a night, right," Dukes asked. "He’s averaging 25 over this four-game stretch so his numbers have gone up from a scoring standpoint. And Trae has gone just a little bit down, but it hasn’t mattered because it’s what you need, that balance to win these games.”
