The Atlanta Hawks beat the Los Angeles Lakers last Sunday, but the victory did cost the the team Trae Young's availability for Monday's loss to the Raptors.
Despite going through pregame warmups, Young was ruled out ahead of tipoff, and has now had three days to rest and recover before Thursday's matchup with the Phoenix Suns.
Injury Expert Will Carroll discusses Young's shoulder soreness and if he expects him to give it a go tonight at home.
"It's 50-50. The Hawks medical staff knows what he's got with his shoulder, the way he fell he was conscious of it," pointed out Will Carroll. "He's learning what he can and can't do. It comes down to time and do they feel comfortable putting him out there. With Trae Young and the existing shoulder injury, getting knocked down you don't want to see and the Hawks have done a pretty good job with that."
The Phoenix Suns have the NBA's best record at 41-9 and the Hawks are back to within two games of .500 after winning seven of their last eight and have a 24-26 record.
