It is Trae Young’s world and we are all just living in it.

The Atlanta Hawks star has taken over the NBA playoffs these past two months and continued with his postseason tear on Wednesday with 48 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in a 116-113 Game 1 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

It is the third consecutive road Game 1 victory for the Hawks this postseason and once again it was Young who played a significant role in keeping Atlanta in the game, scoring 25 of the Hawks’ 54 points in the first half.

Young’s performance joined Luka Doncic as the only players age 22 or younger with a 45-point, 10-rebound in NBA history and he became just the third player age 22 or younger to have seven 30-point games in a single postseason.

The others? Amar’e Stoudemire in 2005 and LeBron James in 2006.

But the one play that had everyone buzzing on social media came in the third quarter when Young deked Jrue Holiday, pulled up to the 3-point line, gave a little shimmy or shoulder shake before draining the 3-pointer.

With Young continuing to play at a high level and the Hawks continuing to steal Game 1s on the road, there is no telling just how long the Trae Young playoff party will go on.
