Coming off consecutive draws, the Atlanta United continue to regain their footing and get their season back on track. However, as the team moves forward, they will soon be faced with filling a void as the team announced that Luiz Araujo would be transferring to Flemengo of Brazil’s Serie, as announced on May 18. The news comes just ahead of the summer transfer window, to which 92-9 The Game’s Chris Goforth posed the question, “How active do you think United is during the summer transfer window,” to Jason Longshore, Atlanta United color analyst and reporter for 92-9 The Game.

With Luiz’ departure looming in the horizon, Longshore’s response to the Goforth’s question, was as direct an answer one could expect in regards to the coming transfer period. “I think they’re going to be active because they have that designated player spot now with Luiz Araujo going to Flemengo in Brazil,” Longshore responded, also remind Goforth that the potential of Tiago Almado departing from the team is another reality for United. “The European leagues are coming to a conclusion, you’re seeing managers fired, you’re coaches fired in Chelsea’s case. You’re going to see some clubs and Napoli is one’s who’s been linked to Almado,” Longshore stated to Goforth.

With Napoli “going to be in the market for a new manager,” who could one with particular interest in the Atlanta midfielder. Click link above to hear Goforth and Longshore’s conversation in its entirety:
