Atlanta United is set to face Orlando City Saturday, May 27. The 5 Stripes are coming off a draw with Chicago making them 6-3-4 thus far. Orlando City has a record of 4-4-4 and is coming off a big 3-1 win over Inter Miami. Orlando City has seemed to have caught some momentum and has increased their level of play and is clicking on all cylinders.

Can Atlanta United capitalize on Giorgos Giakoumakis and his recent level of play? Although their last matchup with Orlando City ended in a draw, it felt like a lost opportunity for the team. The 5 Stripes had the advantage for most of the match over Chicago, who could only play a handful of their available players, but still resulted in a 3-3 draw.

Atlanta United will certainly have their hands full going into their matchup with Orlando. Mental toughness and consistency are traits that are essential to be able to bounce back off of tough performances. Atlanta United will then face New England after Orlando City, and having some positive momentum going into that matchup would be exactly what the doctor ordered for this Atlanta United team.
