As college conferences start to wrap up their media days, the ACC conference concluded on Thursday and while the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were featured on day one of the conference’s media days, 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery kicked off his conversation with John Garcia Jr. with a question in regards to how recruiting for the Rambling Wreck is going following reports that they landed a commitment from three-star offensive lineman, Jameson Riggs, choosing them over Clemson and Auburn. “Are you seeing some change in the recruiting for Georgia Tech,” Chuckery asked Garcia.
“Absolutely,” Garcia responded to the evening host, adding that the Yellow Jackets have always had the potential to land highly rated recruits, however what Key brings to the table is “that combination of been there, done that in the SEC at Bama, all those things. But also, I think the youth and kind of the modernists he brings to the recruiting game resonates with these kids. And if there’s one position you feel like Georgia Tech is going to out recruit expectations, it’s got to be the offensive line,” Garcia said.
