Brian Robinson Jr., two days after he was shot and one day after he was released from the hospital, was back at the team's facility on Tuesday after he was named to the team's initial 53-man roster.
In pictures and video the team tweeted, Robinson is walking with crutches and has his right leg heavily bandaged as he smiles with some of the Commanders coaches.
"You're a sight for sore eyes, boy," running back coach Randy Jordan said to Robinson.
“Good to be back in the building, for real,” Robinson told head coach Ron Rivera.
The Commanders kept Robinson on the active roster to start the season, carrying four running backs, which could indicate he will return to play sooner than many expected and will not start the season on the PUP list or the Non-Football Injury list.
