College Football stole several headlines away from the NBA and NFL this week with the news that USC and UCLA will be heading to the Big Ten as early as 2024 in some reports.
With the addition of the two Southern California institutions the Big Ten will now feature sixteen teams that span the entire map of the United States.

And according to Bill Bender of the Sporting News the College Football landscape will continue to change at a rapid pace.
“Could just be the SEC and Big Ten get to twenty-four” predicted Bill when he joined the Midday Show with Andy & Randy earlier today.
“Oregon and Washington make sense if you are going to continue to add schools” replied Bill when asked by Andy which schools could be next on the Big Ten’s plan of expansion.
With Texas and Oklahoma scheduled to join the SEC in the next few seasons, the SEC will jump to sixteen teams also, but most college football experts believe the SEC may have its eyes on several ACC members such as Florida State or Miami as the next schools to invite to join the SEC mega conference.
The remaining schools in the Pac-12 and Big 12 will have to decide if they want to remain where they are or begin to look into the possibilities of changing alliances in this new era of college football.
Stay tuned, for the next major college football announcement. Odds are it will not be that far away.
