DeMarcus Ware was one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL during his prime, but even he was taken aback but the physical strength of Hall of Fame guard Larry Allen.

Ware, in a video that surfaced on Twitter on Wednesday, recalled when he was a rookie and stepped into the weight room to see Allen on the incline bench.

Allen asked Ware if he could load up five 45-pound plates for him.

Ware, confused, wondered how that would work.

“How can I split the 45s up?” Ware said he asked Allen. “He said, ‘no, no no, no. I want five on one side. Five on the other side.’ And then he put two 30-pound chains on each side. …I said, ‘Hey, need a spot?’ He said, ‘Nah, rook. I got it.’

“He racks its, pulls it up, a 10-count with a chest pause with each one…it’s strength. And he racked it. He said, ‘rook, you better get your mind right.’”
