After hearing Huerter’s comments, 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery shared his thoughts, stating that he was in disagreement with the former Hawks player, particular in regards to the expectations. “I understand and appreciate what he’s saying, I don’t agree with him though,” the weekday, evening host began with his reaction. “I think fans knew that they had overachieved,” Chuckery continued as he reflected on how the 2021 run was “miraculous” and “fantastic” and that he would not trade it for anything. However, Chuckery reminded listeners that comments the following season by Trae Young in which he gave the impression that the team did not have the same level of concern for the regular season as they do for the playoffs.

“Well that’s they’re expectation, that wasn’t our expectation. We expected to be a good regular season team,” Chuckery said.
