Mom always knows best.
Does Scal think Celtics fans are out of control?
It was another bad night for Warriors agitator Draymond Green, who finished with just two points on 1-for-7 shooting in Golden State’s 107-97 Game 4 victory over the Celtics at TD Garden. While Green helped out in some other facets — he made a great read on a short roll to find a slashing Kevin Looney late in the fourth quarter — he was invisible on the court for most of the night.
Seemingly devoid of confidence, Green played a lot of hot potato with the basketball, passing it off as soon as he could. He looks cooked.
And his mom is searching for answers.
“Please ppl stop asking me what’s wrong with Dray… I DONT KNOW!,” she tweeted Friday night. “Maybe this is a CLONE! Lmbo WHERE IS THE Draymond that helped get us here!! Hmmmm I have never seen this either!”
Steve Keer apparently agreed with Green’s mom’s assessment, as he benched the three-time champion for four pivotal minutes in the fourth. Green wasn’t happy about it, but it was the right move to make.
“Draymond Green looks, as we say, shook,” Michael Wilbon accurately said at halftime.
The Warriors may have won, but the Garden crowd has delivered two knockout victories on their most agitating star.
