The Atlanta Falcons infused the offense by going "Best Player Available" and acquiring their unicorn in Kyle Pitts on night one. Since then, Terry Fontenot has been addressing positions of need by trying to improve units on this team where there have been glaring holes. On night two, Fontenot drafted Safety Richie Grant out of Central Florida. Then he came back and grabbed an offensive linemen from Michigan, Jalen Mayfield, to make the Falcons better in the trenches.
Today, Fontenot and the new Falcons front office went with Darren Hall, CB, San Diego State, to continue the overhaul of a porous secondary. It will be interesting to see if Hall becomes CB2 opposite of A.J. Terrell in the years to come.
Hall is a versatile defensive back with good instincts. He flashes the ability to jump routes and pluck the ball out of the air, but his below-average length and frame hinder his ability to win 50-50 balls. He has good stopping power for his size.
