Frank Gore may be embarking on his boxing career with his debut fight against Deron Williams next month, but the former NFL running back is not quite yet ready to shut the door on a return to the gridiron.
In an interview with TMZ Sports to promote his fight, Gore cracked a smile when asked if he was completely done with the NFL.

“I’m gonna see, man,” he said. “I might get a call from whoever goes to the Super Bowl; I might say ‘eff it’ and go with them.”
The 38-year-old added he has already had at least three opportunities to play this year but after spending more time with his children instead of attending a training camp it gave him a new perspective.
But joining a team late in the season for a Super Bowl run is certainly different than going through the grind of training camp and what is now an 18-game season.
Gore’s fight is scheduled for Dec. 18, which would be Week 15 of the NFL season.
We should have a better picture by then which teams are in best position to make a Super Bowl run and plenty of more injuries could pile up to open the door for Gore, a likely Hall of Famer.
In fact, Gore bristled at the notion that anyone would think he isn’t a Hall of Famer.
“They don’t know footbtall,” he told TMZ. “That’s what I say They don’t know football…My numbers speak for themselves. Whatever they say, it’s all good.”
