Recent recruits show UGA football recruiting at national level

'24 class still top ranked despite lack of in-state top 10 commits

KJ Bolden, the top ranked senior safety out of Buford High School, became the latest top ranked state of Georgia player not to commit to UGA .The lack of top 10 in-state talent, however, isn't stopping Kirby and the Dawgs from compiling one of the best recruiting classes in recent history.

Looking at the list of commits, it's easy to see that Georgia has become a national program, said Rusty Mansell on this morning's Steakhouse. And when you can pluck a guy from anywhere in the country, you can afford to miss on a few guys from your backyard.

"Georgia is a brand. Brock Bowers is from Napa, California. Darnell Washington is from Las Vegas. Carson Beck is from Jacksonville, Florida. Georgia recruits the state of Georgia first, but if they also have the ability now to go out anywhere in the country and get kids."
