The new team coming to Athens GA competing in the Indoor Football League is no longer without a name. Athens Crush beat out Bullfrogs, Hedgehawgs, and Panic in a fan vote to be the new name of the franchise. Co-Owned by David Pollack, Jerome Bettis, and Brian Jordan, the Athens Crush are set to begin play in the IFL at Akins Ford Arena in Athens starting with the 2027 season.
