Day one of the 2023 SEC Media Days in Nashville featured a declaration of the future of the conference championship game in Atlanta from commissioner Greg Sankey.
To sum it up, the game isn't going anywhere. And Steak and and Sandra echoed this sentiment on this morning's Steakhouse.
"It's 2023. In the next 10 years (2033), there will no chance there will be more than one game outside of Atlanta", Steak told Sandra in reference to the annual championship game at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Outside of the first two years of the SEC title game (92 & 93) in Birmingham, the game has been played in Atlanta for the past 27 years. There's a rich history that started back with the Georgia Dome.
