On Thursday Andy & Randy were joined by the voice of the SEC on CBS, Brad Nessler, who helped the guys preview the top-three matchup on CBS between the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

During the longer version of the interview with Nessler Andy & Randy talked to him about the Tennessee offense, Georgia being used to these type of games and the first release of the College Football Playoff rankings among other topics but towards the end of the conversation Nessler was asked about the noise inside Sanford Stadium and if it has changed in recent years.

“I think everybody hit sort of a kind of mellow button in the Mark Richt time you know he is winning 10 games a year and it’s just kind of oh boy we are going to win 10 games, well we might win 11, we might go to the SEC Championship. Now it’s like everyone is on the edge of their seat because they think every year is going to be like last year,” Nessler replied when asked about the Georgia crowds getting louder in recent years.

“The intensity, I think Kirby (Smart) has brought some of that too, he is not as mellow as Mark (Richt). He makes it very apparent that he wants people there early and wants them loud and I think that has helped pay off. And you know the craziness at the end of the 3rd quarter with the red lights and everything. The whole thing I think has just gone up a notch in the last two or three years,” Nessler added.

“I will say I haven’t heard too many places louder than Neyland (Stadium) was in the Alabama game (earlier this season). There was times that I didn’t say anything, Gary (Danielson) didn’t say anything because it was too cool to listen to the crowd,” Nessler continued.

You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p on 92.9 The Game.
