The top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs got a 37-20 victory over Vanderbilt heading into a bye week before facing Florida in Jacksonville, but the injury was a costly one as Georgia Tight End Brock Bowers injured his ankle in the first half and will now have a procedure to fix the injury, a surgery that will likely cost him 4-6 weeks.
Brock Bowers is schedule to undergo minor tight rope surgery to stabilize his ankle and could return for the final push of the season if his recovery goes as expected. With Bowers out, Georgia will likely turn to Oscar Delp and freshman Lawson Luckie to man the TE position.
Bowers, who is seemingly a lock for the first round of next years NFL Draft, had 41 catches for 567 yards and four TD's this season for the UGA offense.
Due to having an off week this week, if Bowers returns after four weeks, the early end of the reported timeline, he would miss games against Florida and Missouri, but could be back in time to face Ole Miss and Tennessee potentially.
