With the QB battle in Athens all but assumed over, and Carson Beck set to take the first team reins in the fall, it looked like Brock Vandagriff was going to be on the outside looking in.
Despite not being the probably starter, Brock will return to UGA, as rerpoted by our own Rusty Mansell of Dawgs247.
In last weekend's G-Day game, Brock completed 13-25 passes for 175 yards for two touchdowns and one interception. Kirby Smart that the quarterback competition will continue on into the fall. However, after Saturday's G-Day, it was clear that Carson Beck will be the lead Dawg going into camp in August.
Brock came to UGA as a consensus top-20 player in the 2021 class. In limited action in two years, he's yet to complete a pass, while rushing for seven yards.
Steak and Drew Butler had a chance to react to the news Brock was staying on this morning's Steakhouse. Even though Carson might be the guy, Drew talked about how "you're one play away" from going to backup to starter. "I think Brock's making the right decision."
The second transfer window for college football players opened up April 30th, but SEC players are prohibited from transferring to another SEC school during this period.
