College football analyst Danny Kanell joined Dukes & Bell to preview the Clemson-UGA game on Saturday night and Kanell talked about why he feels all the pressure to win is on Kirby Smart and JT Daniels.
When asked if there was more pressure on Georgia to win then Clemson Saturday night.
“Yeah, I do, I think this game is going to have a playoff feel to it, there is that much at stake. And with both of these team’s schedules, there’s not a whole lot more opportunity for each team to impress as far as resume builders,” Kanell said. “Georgia does have the Florida game, but Florida on a down year you wonder if that’s going to be enough for a resume. So I think’s there’s an incredible amount of pressure on both of these teams.
"But I do think Georgia has more pressure on it. I think there’s more pressure on Kirby Smart to get over that hump, to close that gap, to win a National Championship, not only to get to the SEC Championship game but to win it and to actually advance and get that elusive national championship.”

Kannel moved on to talking about the pressure JT Daniels is likely facing.
“And I think there’s more pressure on JT Daniels, who we saw in a limited body of work last year average 300 yards a game, but it was against lesser competition in the SEC. But the expectation is, 'Oh this is the revamped Georgia offense we’re gonna build around? We’re gonna be like Alabama was last year and LSU the year before?' Those are massive expectations and shoes to fill for JT Daniels and Kirby Smart.”
