The No. 1 recruit for the 2026 class will finally make his decision today on his college football home. 5-star Offensive Tackle Jackson Cantwell out of Nixa High School has narrowed his choices between Georgia, Miami, Oregon, and Ohio State who have made a last minute push to sign the coveted lineman.
Kaylee Mansell of Dawg Nation joined The Steakhouse on Tuesday morning ahead of the announcement to give insight on an outside source that has made their own push to get Cantwell in Athens.
Barbra Curtis, the mother of freshly committed UGA 5-star QB Jared Curtis, took to twitter to share a photo of her son with Cantwell insinuating there might be a friendship between the two.
The 16-year old Cantwell is the son of two former Olympians who competed in shot put, his father Christian brought home silver for the U.S. in 2008. Jackson is accomplished on his own in shot put with two state championships in Missouri, throwing the furthest of any high schooler in the state this past spring.
Money is not expected to separate Cantwell’s decision as all four schools are reportedly offering a number close to $2 million.
Jared Cantwell will make his decision on Tuesday at 3:45pm. It’s available to be streamed on all Dawg Nation platforms.
